France have made minor changes in their players forces from the side who arrived earlier in the year and gave the team a fast win, one test and losing the second. But still this was enough to win the Series and that has given them good spirits entering this match. They played so well down here and we will know that more of the same type of play will yield results against any team including the Mighty Springboks. France will look to try and run this game through their forwards but that will not be easy against this Boks pack. So the French must use their intellectual know how to get a good result. Looking at this French side and you will see some real class in it and if they start to fire up they will be very hard to contain.

Peter De Villiers the Springbok coach five forwards and two backs on his bench which will show the teams intention of what kind of plays they will do in this match and surprisingly the French team is fired up in the same place. Their Key to qualification is their Determination. Uruguay fought it out with Argentina right down to the wire for getting that final World Cup berth. That they managed to keep the pressure on the Argentines and dodge off challenges from Colombia and Ecuador for fifth place speaks to the power of their team character.

Only for the second time did Honduras qualified for the World Cup. It happened at El Salvador on Wednesday after a 1-0 victory and a draw for Costa Rica. Carlos Pavon scored to give Hondurans the win and added them alongside Mexico and United States for the South Africa 2010 World Cup.

After a power struggle and civil unrest in Honduras, Reinaldo Rueda the national team coach sees a unifying term in the World Cup qualification. It will be a contribution toward peace. Victory was not good enough and it happened that luck was not in Costa Rica’s side and cling to the last spot, since they are leading the US 2-1 with only seconds remaining. But Jonathan Bornstein scored for a 2-2 draw for the 10-man Americans in Washington that denied them the game.

Bryan Ruiz scored in 2 points in less than 5 minutes and gave Costa Rica a 2-0 lead, the Americans rallied back to finish the qualifying stage in North American with three victories and two ties when the opponents make the first score.

Only seconds away from a Costa Rica victory that would have booked a third consecutive trip to the world football showdown, but instead they lost to Honduras and now must go against Uruguay in a playoff to decide who plays in the World Cup.

Expectations further rise due to the fact that the attacking Chileans finished the group with 32 goals, the second-highest scorers, including ten from Humberto Suazo their top marksman and garnered ten wins in all which is more than any of their competitors from their continental.

As expected from a compact team that loves to take all the opportunities to move forward, Chile’s star players are found in different positions. The leaders are Alexis Sanchez, Matias Fernandez and Humberto Suazo these players teamed up to produce great results for domestic giants Colo Colo in 2006 but have gone to their separate ways.

Fernandez and Sanchez form a new breed of footballer eager to build a great reputation abroad. And the experienced Suazo is a great finisher with a sense for showing up in the right place at the right time.

Their coach Marcelo Bielsa was the man who took charge of Argentina when they lost their chance at the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan.
